Finished the final sheep flock curtain last night. This, like the previous 3, is 6' x 4' and was crocheted with size 10 crochet cotton using a size 6 crochet hook. You can see from the below photo that the original chart is embroidery over netting. One of the recent Lacis Museum newsletters talked about a donation of tools used for this filet netting work. Translating from the netting to filet crochet was more of a struggle then I expected - but finally it made sense and I could see what I was getting at. If I do this chart again I will put it on graph paper so the work would go much faster.
I like this chart with the tree and the 2 sheep and I used it in 3 of the 4 curtains. I suppose once the curtains are in the 3 windows that can be seen in one location that the motif will seem to unit the group.
Now to load this post with fingers crossed that typepad is working properly.
