Saturday

We're in the midst of the winter "honey-do" list. It seems that we both needed the above 40 degree and sunny weekend. What better way to celebrate a January sunny day but to work on the house?

Img_4456 M's inside the garage cutting siding for a project he's had in mind for years. The smell of the new cut fir is unbelievably fresh.Img_4452

In between helping M and keeping the fur family out from underfoot, I'm fooling around with Opal Zebra sock yarn from my stash and the adult size Little Sky sock. I decided to do a k1p1 ribbing with stst inside the instep increases. Lots of fun. The finished 2 pair of adult Little Sky of leftover sock yarn is in the wash - I think the Zebra version is lots more fun - and I am writing down the pattern as I go.

RosemaryRecently, Joanne surprised me  with the "you make my day award" with these instructions:

"Give the award to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blogland. Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times."

I have been thinking about this award and realized that many of us nominate each other. Some of us don't do memes. I decided to nominate some little known blogs that are my favorites in no particular order:

1. Becky (horses)
2. Catherine (local knitter)
3. Mimi (crocheter)
4. JAGasaurus (photographer)
5. Valerie (weaver and knitter)
6. Charlene (weaver and knitter)
7. Moira (has a new spinning wheel)
8. Sue (knitter and crocheter)
9. Jeenybeen (photographer)
10. Cindy (knitter)

Many of the aforementioned award winners are spinners and they all inspire me with their work.

Thanks! You are so sweet to nominate me. Picking only ten blogs was difficult for me because I enjoy reading so many bloggers. Now I can pick another 10 bloggers!!!!

Thanks so much for including me! Its really inspiring to know that I can inspire others with my crochet work, though I think its the other way around with you. Your work is much more varied, interesting and fiber-rich (or however one may call it) ;)

Isn't it wonderful how sunshine can motivate you right into a new project!!

That sock yarn and your socks look fabulous.

Off to check out your links, knodding head to what Sheepish Annie said....

Cool, thanks for awarding me! I posted my list today.

Fun! I knew a lot of these, but I'll have to take some time and read the others. Thanks. :)

I really like it when the memes and awards get passed around a bit. This is how I learn about different blogs rather than simply surfing the usual links. Thanks for the new material!
