June is a lovely time of year - I need a shot of green and texture after our long white winter.
My 3 yr old daylilies are putting out scapes. One has bloomed -but my close up was off center. These are all from seeds - I crossed a bunch of my daylilies and have been waiting patiently for this year. Last year, 3 bloomed which surprised me - a year earlier then I expected. These 3 were moved into other flowerbeds and noted on a chart. If I have duplicates, the duplicates will be free to good homes.
I told Leigh I would show some spinning Shetland photos. This is Korny. I am spinning from the locks, sorta. This fleece is from a 3 yr old so is a bit more coarse. I am teasing the locks open as I spin. I discovered how difficult it is to photograph yourself spinning while holding a camera steady. There was a cream poodle snuggled in beside me and a cream cat assistant.
This is just because yarn - no purpose in mind. Just because I wanted to spin. Just because the Sonata needs more hours to get trained. Just because I love Shetland.
Kristi came over today - actually she brought Scott the Schacht back. We set Scott up for Scotch tension (ohhh, we are so witty) and spun for a while and agreed we prefer the double drive for this wheel. Switched Scott back and nodded. Yep. Interesting about that. Kristi spun on the Sonata then I introduced her to the Symphony. Can we say love at first sight? Kristi settled right in and smiled. I teased her and said, what would you do if you didn't like spinning on any of my wheels. She retorted "I have a sock!". Well, of course. But she sees why I love the Symphony so much.
Here's Kristi's froghair. Nice huh?
Thunderstorm moving in and Teddy is not happy ... gotta go.
